Let me make one thing clear. Yes, we keep odd hours here. Odd hours are fine. I will fully admit to keeping strange hours. However, what is not fine is running around screaming bloody murder at five in the morning because you think an alien invasion is centering on our house and that is FULLY NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I'm going to have to revise the House Rules again, aren't I?

Well, it's been a busy month and we've been galavanting up and down the east coast to prove it. I really wish Yuukito didn't bring his problems with the League home, but we protect our own, no matter how stupidly deep they're in it.

Here's to hoping the school buys the 'death in the family' excuse.

...also, I was reasonably sure we had houseplants. At some point. I don't know, I guess it's possible that they died when I wasn't around. Hm.

I think this entire day was headache-inducing. Kennichi almost got us both busted today. Soujiro took his bookbag and put it in her gym locker, so he drug me with him to retrieve it. Yes, we almost got caught in the girl's locker room. No, we weren't actually seen, but that's just because we both have some mad skills. Incidentally, it is possible to fit a person into one of the lockers. In case anyone actually wondered. That, and they need to clean the ceiling. Full of cobwebs.

Kennichi got his bookbag back and we both made it to our respective classes without acquiring detentions OR tardies. I am impressed with us.

Higgins, the Chemistry teacher, decided it would be interesting to go out on the roof before class and traumatize half the class by climbing in the window after the bell rung. I think he was slightly perterbed that he didn't startle me, since he climbed in the window right by my desk. I could see him out on the roof when I sat down, I don't know why he thought that would surprise me. <s>Besides the fact I've gone in and out through those windows a few times myself.</s>

Soujiro got handcuffed to the bike rack. Don't ask.

Just one headache after another.

And since this has been bothering me since about four a.m. but I didn't feel like booting up a computer - when I get up to go to the bathroom I expect to be able to return to my bed. MY BED IS NOT YOUR BED YOU RUNTY ALCHEMIST. STAY IN YOUR OWN ROOM.

Ah, it is actually winter again. It's been so for about a week, which is a change of pace from the abnormally warm weather we'd been having. Of course, this means our resident heat-seeker is turning up in people's beds again. 9.9 And I don't mean the cat.

It was a nice little break from school today. Our... encounter over the weekend was all-but nonexistant. Whoever they were, they moved on their way. Yuukito decided to trail them for a while and see what he could see, but his reports aren't anything to be worried about.

Sparred with Kennichi this afternoon. That always makes me feel good, and Kennichi's an excellent sparring partner. His technique is not the same as mine, which is all the more refreshing. Edward actually sat in the dojo and watched us, which surprised me. He doesn't usually stick around to watch people spar. I've never actually seen him fight with a weapon other than the blade he crafts from his false arm, though, so I don't know if he knows any techniques. I really ought to inquire, someday.

Shishou slept through class today. And he didn't even have the decency to do it in the classroom, he slept in the teacher's lounge. As a result, I had a free period in the middle of the day that was not expected, so I got to go to the library and sleep for the remaining forty-five minutes. It was nice.
I must confess my amusement at this town. We recieved another wire transfer from Yuukito - a successful bounty I can acknowledge, especially when it is a non-lethal one. The account is wired to Karen; we figured it best that way, since it is her family's home we invade and her name won't send up security flags in any net searches. I went with her to the bank, and really. The bank tellers don't bat an eye at two teenagers signing for a wire transfer of a couple hundred thousand dollars.

That being said, our coffers are lined again for the foreseeable future. Money hasn't been quite as tight with the addition of the runt - most of our expenses were repairs to the house due to mischief and random assualts by criminal elements. The alchemist is useful in that he can make repairs with very little in the way of resources. It's nice not to have to worry about money for a while ... I doubt it'll last.

I think tonight we're going to go grocery shopping. A dull task I know it sounds, but clearly you've never been grocery shopping with seven hungry teenagers. (And their pet alchemist, too!)

It's snowing. Again. Actually, it's kind of fun to sit at the window and watch it, because the flakes have been varying in size and intensity all afternoon. Sometimes they will be extraordinarily large and drift softly down, sometimes they will shrink in size and it will become more of a snow shower than a snow fall.

It's pretty, and quite relaxing to watch. I know that won't last. Soujiro was in the kitchen doing a 'snow dance' in the hopes that we'll get a blizzard so school will be called tomorrow. I doubt school will be called regardless of snow, we're hardly getting all that much despite how pretty it looks.

Nothing much else to report, it's been quiet. Yuukito's been out doing his thing-of-which-I-won't-acknowledge, and there are occasional ... well, I hesitate to call them 'explosions' in the sense of things blowing up, but there are often weird noises that make the entire house vibrate that originate from the basement. I know it's the runt doing his alchemy crap again, but damn. He's going to bring the entire house down, one of these days.

I will mostly keep to myself, I feel, save for classes. I wonder if there will be a kendo club, and if so, when it will meet. I would start one myself, but I am more content to sit back and watch the other students busy themselves with the goings-on of the school.

I may head out to town later ... there appears to be no dress code for this school, for which I am glad, but all the same it would be wise to procure a few sets of "local" clothing.
